The Power of Self-Acknowledgment

Ever have those times in life when you just don’t feel excited about what you’re doing? You’ve fallen into a “rut.” Instead of feeling motivated and engaged doing things you normally love to do, you just don’t have the energy or desire to do it.

This has been coming up for me lately. And I’m feeling totally STUCK!

As I was planning a follow-up to the last episode of Growing in Uncertainty about self-doubt, I came up blank. An activity for which I normally feel love and joy (creating content for my weekly show) all of a sudden felt like a total chore.

It feels like I hit a wall, and my energy for doing what I usually love to do is gone.

If you’ve had moments like this, what do you do? Do you “power through?” Do you take a break? Or do you just avoid whatever you don’t feel like doing, whether you need to do it or not?

I was going to create an episode this week about cultivating self-confidence. But in light of my current drop in energy, I decided to talk instead about a tool I use to deal with feeling STUCK.

The tool is really simple! However, it’s not easy. What is this tool?

Self-acknowledgement.

Self-acknowledgement is one of the most important things we can do in any moment we feel STUCK or lack energy to engage in our lives.

In fact, self-acknowledgement is actually the first step we can take to instigate the process of getting UNSTUCK.

In this episode of Growing in Uncertainty, I share more about how I’m using the tool of self-acknowledgement to understand the root of what’s really draining my energy and preventing me from enjoying what I’m doing.

If you’re feeling apathetic or a lack of energy for engaging in your life, I really hope that what I've experienced will help YOU start the process of getting UNSTUCK.
