I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life until I figured out what I didn't want. This was a 20-year process. In this time, I earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in music performance, taught at the college level, performed with orchestras, freelanced as a chamber musician, recorded a CD, presented at conferences, and became a Music Practitioner playing therapeutic music at the bedside.


And then, career burnout hit hard. It was painful to keep making myself work, but I couldn't just quit everything. I was STUCK. I let go of a few of my responsibilities in order to recover and remember why I became a musician in the first place. I came home to myself only to discover that I had neglected to honor where I felt enthusiasm for life. Enthusiasm is what fuels motivation and engagement. Without enthusiasm, I was fabricating energy, which drained my resolve until there was nothing left.


Through meditation, journaling, talking with friends and family, reading, and lots of podcast listening, I was able to recover my enthusiasm. It seems I am most in my own skin when I am helping others cultivate awareness about themselves. Even as a musician, whether I am teaching or performing, my natural state is to foster meaningful experiences that help people see their next best steps.


In order to maximize my enthusiasm, I became a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and founded my seminar and coaching business, Wings Unfolded, LLC. In 2021, my first book, The Book of STUCK was published. This book came out of my passion for sharing my biggest life lesson learned so far: It’s okay to be STUCK, but you don’t have to stay there! My goal is to help others navigate their STUCK places through 1:! coaching sessions and create a life that allows them to follow their enthusiasm.


When we meet for a session (over Zoom, phone, or in person), I will ask you what you want to work on. This could include an issue that just came up in your life or work. Or it could be a pattern or habit you've been wanting to change for a long time. Or maybe it's a goal you have set for yourself and you want to ensure that you don't let anything get in your way to achieving it.

I will help you uncover what the thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and resulting actions have been up to this point. Then we will work together to rewrite your "script!" You will set goals or action steps that feel reasonable and achievable to you. And I will help you accountable to the tasks you commit yourself to each time we meet.

You will also learn a lot about how you operate and how different kinds of energies can affect you in your daily life. Having this kind of awareness becomes the ultimate way to prevent being hijacked by old ways of being or being dragged down by energies that might make you say or do things that you regret later. 

As part of my offerings, we can do an Assessment that measures what your energy is like on a daily basis and what happens to your energy when something unsettling or upsetting happens in your day. 

I may also incorporate music or sound into our sessions. As a Certified Music Practitioner (CMP®), I know how music can move you from being in a state of stress (making it impossible to see your life from supportive perspectives) to a state of relaxation (where you can shift your mindset from fight/flight/freeze to deciding what the next best step could be).
